Kelly Hynes

Assistant Coach

I started coaching in the athletics space and as I progressed I realised I was much more suited to coaching than playing and have done all I can from then to extend, develop and learn my coaching craft and currently have Advanced Accreditation.

I love where I am at right now in my coaching journey. Being mentored and taught by the best in the game – Vicki Wilson and surrounded by amazing Management and partners within the Rays makes assisting these talented athletes a pleasure and real learning curve for my coaching career.

BEC BULLOCH

Assistant Coach

I am a proud North Queenslander, having grown up playing, umpiring and coaching netball in Bowen then in Townsville. These days my focus is on coaching and coach development.

I have coached locally from NetSetGo through to Premier League, as well as fulfilling coaching roles with Magnetic North Steelcats and Regional Academy. I worked with the Northern Mendi Rays 18s for 3 years and am excited to now contribute to our Sapphire Series team in 2022. The opportunity to work with such a strong & smart playing group and professional support staff, alongside experienced coaches and mentors in Vicki and Kelly, is one that I feel blessed to have.

DEB BENNETT-RAUCH

Player Welfare Manager

I worked with the Queensland Academy of Sport for 10 years before returning to teaching. At the QAS I worked with the Hockey, Netball and Basketball Squads and was located in the Regional Office, working with Regional Athletes as well.

The Northern Mendi Rays is an exciting challenge for me, especially mentoring the Immersion Athletes from Fiji. Supporting Women’s Sport is crucial to this role and being a part of our regional elite netball team to support their welfare is a wonderful opportunity.
